If it gets any worse, I’ll say a prayer
Who cares if I feel so down today?
My two feet tall faith will get me by
It will know all the right things to say
Being me isn’t easy
I pay some price, every now and then;
But I guess I’ll not have it any other way
Not as long,
As my two feet tall faith remembers all the right things to say
Wrongs and rights, all blurred for me
Into a thin red line of deep cynical mystery
Now I am living the dictates of my mind;
Stealing some peace, now,
Getting by sometimes just breathing, and telling me
Anyhow,
It’s just another day
Two feet tall faith please know what to say
Stop, breathe
Fight but never leave
This is your life
The only place in the world you call home;
Sometimes your way
Sometimes their way
Anyway
Everything’s ok
Just so long the two feet tall faith knows what to stay
There is grace as long as the faith will say

Pavi Nayan Trisal,
Thanks for writing the sort of comment that makes me feel happy about being myself. Who cares even if its just being a bleeding heart. The curse of strong convictions is suffering more bad days than good - but would I have it any other way?
I'm afraid not.
Thanks :-)

More power to Chitra paint brush too :-)
Thanks!

GF,
And they became the 'rock on which the church was built' - the church which was the greatest cover up in history.

VS G,
WOW. A great comment again. And a 'thinking' one at that. I agree. Loved it.
You brought another perspective to the poem. I wasnt thinking about religion anyway. But to think of it - the faith that religion preaches - so conditioned and whatnot - is no taller than two feet or less - dont you think...
Might be unfair but for writing the sort of comments you do - I think its fair that I explain. What I meant to say is that even when hopelessness surrounds - faith - diminishing but however little still there - will get me by. And suffice.
Is that good? :-)
Thanks!

Gregory Fegel,
Thanks :-) That was almost humorous. But then the New Testmanent is put together by men who almost switched the Messiah's ministry for a version that suited them best :-) He might as well have been a rockstar ;-)
Thanks!

Naval Langa ji,
Because we're like mirrors, for our own selves - I agree that its most difficult to be with outrselves - precisely why we search for distractions outside.
Thanks.
